Henrik Nordström's Squid work
Hi and welcome to my Squid pages. Here you can find some Squid related software, patches I have contributed to Squid up to 2001 (development have not stopped after 2001, only the maintenance of these patch pages), plus tools I used in development up to 2001. More current Squid developments can be found from the Squid Development Projects web site devel.squid-cache.org.

I hack on Squid for the fun of it, so the to-do list is really what I feels for at the moment. Anyway, these are the tasks I am trying to find more time to complete:
- My "log based" Squid filesystem for storing cache objects with minimal filesystem overhead and minimal disk ops / object.
- My model of sibling cache peerings between cache arrays. The idea is to use incremental merged digest exchanges with one "large" digest representing the whole array (one digest per array, the whole array seen as a large cache). Setting up inter-array peerings based on each array member isn't really a very effective thing to do..
- My idea on efficient two level caching with several frontend caches which does all the network related stuff and hot content caching, and one or a few larger backend caches providing the long term storage.
These are my public authentication & encryption keys:
- SSH v1 RSA key
- SSH v2 RSA and DSA keys
- PGP PGP key. fingerprint = 3AE9 4615 167F C381 487F CF19 EE84 3306 C493 0E65
